Wow, we loved your site! Keep up the good work. Your buildup and maiden voyage of the Highlander brought back many good memories of our previous buildups! You should see my friends 1957 Chevy 2 Door(car) on a custom frame with a coilover suspension al around, Big block on nitrous, 5500rpm stall converter and hand cut tires. WHEW, the thing scares me! Anyway Hope to see you at one of this years events. We may send you the dates for our annual mudmania once it firms up.

I so much have enjoyed this site, looking at photos and the things that other folks think and have to say. I have been into 4/wheeling for just a short time, but I have picked up a lot of good info and now have put togather one hell of a jeep. I have build 5 show cars and I put all the show tricks in to pl y into my jeep, it looks and runs like somthing out of this world. 6" of custom spring lift and 2" of body lift, 36x16.50x15s dick cepek on 15"x12.5" wheels, custom built duble cv drive shafts on front and back. pulled out the stock 304 and droped in a 318 rodeck motor fresh out of my dads drag boat its a strocker (stump puller). the paint has just been completed and it is a stick out like a turd in a punch bowl chevy orange, when the painting was going on I acid diped all the crome trim nd things and had everthing powder coated flat black, not knowing if this would look good or like a big pile of dog S__t but all was O.K. because if all looked just perfect. new seats, carpet kit and all new bady rubber all around. The body came off and we ainted the fram, axles and every thing we could put paint on, but only if it looked good painted. all the jeep logos pressed into the body have been taken out and we had TONKA press into new metel and welded back in place to me this is the most cool thing about the hole project. I have wanted a jeep my hole life and now that I have one I just wanted to do it up like no other, and now that it is all completed I think that indi and I have done just that, man it is a head turning show stopper. Aside from it getting no better then about 6to7 miles per gallan I love every thing about the thing and it is driven allmost every day . We live in Watauga Texas this is just out if Ft.Worth and we looking for a club to join but up till now luck with any thing we like. If any one know of good group / 4x4 club if its not to much trouble drop me a e-mail at matsprad@airmail.net

Nice page you got here. I have seen some nice trucks in my life so far even though I'm 15. I ride my three-wheeler most of the time I like to do jumps and crash most of the time. My friend Shawn and I like to ride together and he has seen me crash a lot o times. When I drive my Toyota it's mostly just either to the store or to school. When I get older and get some more money I plan on getting a nice tall, tall truck I like big and tall thing's. My mom is always telling to slow down.

S.M.O.R.E. stands for Show-Me Off-Road Events. We are a non-profit organization hosting off road events to raise Money for Charity. We have 1 more race this year. Location is Marthasville, MO. Check out the following web site @ sites.netscape.net/gumboracing in about 3-4 days. Scott is a good friend, knows more about web sites and said he would hook me up for this event. we just had 2 events in St. Charles, MO with over 7 states represented, thousands of $$ in prize money and everyone had a blast. S.M.O.R.E. is planning on 6 events in Missouri for the Y2K. We are using the GUMBO sanctioning body. Petersen's were at our 1st St. Charles event and smoked alot of film, so hopefully some of our pics may grace their magazine, too. Take Care, Jeff (MUD RAT) McNeal

We took our fourwhelers to a place called Monroe, La. On a big mud ride and your talking about a big dummy. You know those places that God forbids to go well thats one of them. Don't get me wrong I love the mud, but when you go through 18 miles of pure Lousinia mud, you've lost your mind or you got money to just spend on fixing your four wheeler up when your done. If anybody belongs in the Big Dummy Book it would definitly be me. By the way I like this Page

This message is for Goin' Gonzo. 36's will be about 1.5-2" smaller than 38.5" Boggers, so you need a bigger split on your ratios to make up the difference. You want the front to spin as fast as or faster than the rear. The formula is MPH = (RPM*Tire Di meter)/(Final Drive*336). You might also consider 38.0" Swampers or R85 Buckshot Mudders as your front tires as either would be 1/2-1" taller than 36's. TEX

I,m new to the use of a computer so please over look any mistakes. my son helped me find your website and i must say it is the only one of it'skind we have found so far. Iam running an early style bronco in the local mud bogs and sand drags. Last year was our first year out with it and we did'nt do to bad, in the sand. The mud was a different story. running stock 3.50gearing and 33 in.boggers in deep pits wecould not compe e to well.We are running a 302 with apox. 300hp. Tranny is a C4 with shift kit and 2000 stall conv. We run paddle tires in the rear and 29in. tires in front when sand draging. So far our best time has been 5.2sec. in 300ft. in low range. This week we are nstalling 5.67 gears in the rear and 5.57 in front. We plan to use this set up in high range.what might your opinion of this be with 38in.boggers in rear and 36in.swampers in front ? Any help would be appreciated. r

It doesnt have to be standard, we are only young, and would appreciate anyones help if you can spare it. Thanks.

I really enjoyed the write up on highlander, my mud truck is a 77 Blazer with a 400 small block, posi front and rear, and 35" BFG's. Future plans to drop the motor in a 81 Chev short box, 8" lift, 39" superswampers, headers, and a few other engine modifi ations. Our family holds a mud race every year, its a 2 lane track about 200 feet long and 20 feet wide, the mud is about 2-3 feet deep. We usually get about 40 trucks entered, all proceds go towards the local hospital. Trophies only. We enter a few ra es here and there, we usually do really well, but this year were going all the way! Awsome Page. Ryan

Excellent page. Finaly found a page that is interesting. The truck we have was already put together when we got it. It needs a big hug and the running gear needs to be rebuilt. That is our current project. The truck has a dana70 rear end 1982, and a dana 0 front end out of a 1966 Dodge military 1 ton, a 2 1/2 ton divorced transfercase, a 4 spd. (we will change to an automatic), and a 460 (D1 block with Dove heads). It is on 44's. If anybody knows where we can get a body for it please drop us a line. The o e on it now is thrashed. We were hoping to have it ready to race this year, but no such luck. Next year for sure. Keep the page going.

I really love this site, wow what a lineup of dirty mechanics with long and flowing manes. Shampoo must be a long lost thing over there, huh? I love to rip up fields at schools and put my friend in the truck, Tony, in a tizzy. He dropped his smokes and hit me with a rolled up 4-wheelin magazine. That hurt. But really, you people give the word DIRT a great new name. You have dirt embedded into your: hair, fingers, legs, arms, and other external parts of your bodies. Dont you love to be dirty? I do. S owers and such, you dont take much. Give me a call for further discussion: 716-655-2421 and ask for GREG

As a mudbug myself, I am writing a research paper for English Comp. and I'm writing it on mud riding(or whatever you may choose to call it). It took me three weeks, but I am sooooo excited that I finally found a web site that was not about mountain bikes in the mud. I want to see a real vehicle. I'd like to see more girls involved in the sport too.
